In the earliest part of his life he was a nobleman’s son and soon after his twenty-eighth birthday a Vampire viciously turned him. He'd taken a job as a helping had to a woman who owned a local tavern. One night just after close, she asked Alex to bring up a case of beer from the basement and when he disappeared into the darkness, well you can guess the rest. Seeking those of his own kind after his attacker fled and left him to die, it became apparent they hadn’t intended to turn him but offer him peaceful death – the circumstances surrounding the mystery of why he was turned continue to plague him to this day. He finally found acceptance with the De’Lioncourt family, and heartily began his new life as a child of the night. Update: After making a deal with Blackflame's Prince for his soul, Alex accepted the position of Advisor to Lucien.
